Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") sets out how the provider of the application "To Me Someday" (the "App"), referred to as "we" or "us", handles user information in the App.
1. Basic Policy
The App stores the diary entries you create (title, body, date, and attached photos) solely on your device. We do not own or operate any server of our own, and we never collect, view, or store the contents of your diary.
However, when advertisements are displayed, in-app purchases are processed, or you choose to perform a cloud backup, certain information is transmitted off your device through the third-party services described below. This Policy explains how information is handled in the App, including within that scope.
2. Types of Information Collected
2-1. Information you enter into the App (stored on your device; not collected by us)
- Diary titles and body text
- Dates assigned to entries
- Photos attached to entries (selected from your device's photo library)
- App-lock passcode (if you set one)
- Settings such as theme, notifications, and language
These are stored in the database, files, and settings area on your device. They are never transmitted to any server operated by us.
2-2. Information that may be transmitted or collected through third-party services
The third-party services used by the App may collect or transmit the following information. Please refer to each provider's privacy policy for details.

Cloud backup is performed only when you explicitly enable it in the settings screen, and the destination is your own Google Drive or iCloud. We never retain backup data.
3. Purposes of Use
We and the third-party services use the information collected for the following purposes.
- Providing the core features of the App, such as creating, viewing, and managing diary entries
- Delivering local notifications on your device (reminders and delivery of past entries)
- Displaying advertisements and optimizing ad delivery
- Providing and managing in-app purchases and subscriptions
- Performing cloud backup and restore that you initiate voluntarily
- Responding to inquiries
4. Provision and Transmission to Third Parties
Except as required by law, we do not sell or provide your personal information to third parties.
The App uses the third-party services listed in Section 2-2, and accordingly information about users is transmitted to each service provider. Please review the following for how each service handles information.

5. Advertising
- When you use the App for free, advertisements are displayed via Google AdMob.
- AdMob may use advertising identifiers and similar information to deliver personalized advertising based on users' interests.
- iOS: The App may request permission for tracking (App Tracking Transparency). You can decline tracking in your device settings.
- Android: You can reset your advertising ID or disable personalized advertising in your device settings.
- While you are subscribed to Premium, no advertisements are displayed.
6. Use of Permissions
The App uses the following device functions and permissions only within the scope of their respective purposes.
- Notifications: To deliver reminders and past diary entries as local notifications
- Photo library: To attach photos to diary entries (only the photos you select are used)
- Internet connection: For displaying advertisements, in-app purchases, and optional cloud backup
The App does not access location, microphone, contacts, or calendar.
7. Data Retention
- Diary entries and settings stored on your device are retained until you delete the data or uninstall the App.
- Cloud backup data is stored on your own Google Drive or iCloud, and its retention is subject to the terms of those services and your own actions.
- The retention period for information collected by third parties in connection with advertising and billing is subject to each provider's policy.
8. Security Measures
- Because diary data is stored on your device, its protection depends primarily on the security of the device itself, such as the screen lock. We recommend that you also manage your device appropriately, including enabling a device lock.
- The App offers an optional app-lock feature. This feature restricts access to the App and does not encrypt the data stored on your device.
- When you use cloud backup, the security of authentication and communication relies on the mechanisms provided by each service provider.
9. Requests for Disclosure, Correction, and Deletion
Because the App stores diary data on your device, you can view, correct, and delete it yourself within the App at any time.
For requests concerning personal information we hold (such as inquiry history), including disclosure, correction, suspension of use, and deletion, as well as complaints regarding the handling of personal information, please contact us at the address at the end of this Policy. We will respond in accordance with applicable law after verifying your identity.
Please note that requests concerning information collected by third-party services must be directed to the relevant provider.
10. Rights of Users Outside Japan
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom
Under applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, rectification of, or erasure of your personal data, as well as restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing. Processing of information in the App is based on the performance of a contract to provide the service, and on legitimate interests or your consent in relation to matters such as the display of advertising.
If you are a California resident
We do not sell personal information in exchange for monetary consideration. However, advertising identifiers may be shared with advertising providers for the delivery of personalized advertising, which may constitute "sharing" under applicable law. You can disable this through your device settings as described in Section 5.

11. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under the age of 13, or under the age specified by the laws of your region. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. International Transfer of Information
The servers of the third-party services used by the App (Google, Apple, and others) may be located outside Japan. Using these services may result in information being transferred abroad.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may revise this Policy in response to changes in law or in the content of the service. If we make material changes, we will provide notice within the App or on the page where this Policy is published.
14. Governing Language
This Policy is provided in Japanese, English, and Chinese. In the event of any discrepancy between the language versions, the Japanese version shall prevail.
